I recently had the pleasure of doing some live illustration at the Open Rights Group London conference. A fascinating day and so much to draw!! If you aren’t familiar with live-illustration (also called scribing, graphic recording, live-toons, and live drawing), the illustrator basically listens in at a conference and captures the key points in a fun visual style throughout the day. Key to this process are a good set of pens (Posca’s are my favourite), a nifty way to hold them when you’re moving around (bum bag is great) and a good night sleep the night before! The images were tweeted during the conference and serve as a great memory jogger to those who attended.
