Live Illustration and Scribing at ORGCon19

I recently had the pleasure of doing some live illustration at the Open Rights Group London conference. A fascinating day and so much to draw!! If you aren't familiar with live-illustration (also called scribing, graphic recording, live-toons, and live drawing), the illustrator basically listens in at a conference and captures the key points in a fun visual style throughout the day. Key to this process are a good set of pens (Posca's are my favourite), a nifty way to hold them when you're moving around (bum bag is great) and a good night sleep the night before! The images were tweeted during the conference and serve as a great memory jogger to those who attended.

After the event the illustrations were photographed and digitised for the client to use on their website and other publications.

Below are four of the six finished boards that were created on the day.
